EducationThe Diabetes Education Program at Hills & Dales General Hospital is accredited by the American Diabetes Association and the Michigan Department of Community Health. Our comprehensive program can help you obtain the knowledge and skills you need to manage your diabetes on a daily basis. Our program covers:
Will my insurance cover this program? Medicare, Medicaid and many private insurers do cover the cost for diabetes education or a part of it. A doctor’s order is required to attend the program. Our educators can help you find out more. Is this program only for people who have “serious” diabetes? We believe that all diabetes is serious. Whether you are new to diabetes or have had the condition for a long time, we can help you learn what you need to know to get control of it.
