Hills & Dales General Hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures: general surgeries such as cholecystectomy (gallbladder), hernia repairs, appendectomy and laproscopic alternatives; gynecological surgeries such as D & C, hysterectomy and tubal ligation; urological surgeries such as cystoscopies (bladder),
prostate biopsy or resection; orthopedic surgeries such as arthroscopy, total knee and
hip replacements; ENT (ear,nose and throat) surgeries such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and ear tube insertion; podiatry surgeries such as bunionectomies and hammertoe corrections; and ophthalmic surgeries such as cataracts.
HILLS & Dales has recently completed construction of a state of the art surgery department to provide inpatient and outpatient surgery services. 2 new 680 square foot
operating suites with mobile equipment booms provide for increased efficiency of equipment. Multiple high definition monitor screens provide clear images during lapro-
scopic and arthroscopic procedures. A dedicated procedure room is utilized for colonoscopy and gastroscopy procedures. In addition a Steris System is used for sterilization of scopes to ensure your safety. Our new Central Supply area has the most updated washer-disinfectant system and sterilizers for processing instrumentation.
A large nine-bed preoperative and post-operative recovery room with central monitoring of vitals and cardiac status provides safe, comfortable nursing care of surgical patients.
The nursing staff provides pre-operative teaching and places follow-up telephone calls to ensure positive outcomes for the people we serve.
Our team of healthcare physicians, nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, operating room technicians and other specially trained staff work together with patients and family members, to provide you with the information, care and attention you need to have a positive experience.
